Argon Plasma is a type of ionized gas used for skin tightening. During application, a special Argon Plasma device is used, creating an entry point for the cannula smaller than three (3) millimeters. Once the cannula is placed in the treatment area, Argon (noble gas) is released along with radio frequencies, creating a targeted energy flow, the plasma.
This energy produces a temperature of 85 degrees Celsius for 0.4 milliseconds, which contracts the skin. Simultaneously, the argon supply cools the treatment area. This combination of energy causes simultaneous contraction and expansion of tissues, contraction of fibers and collagen, and consequently, tightening.
It can be applied to many areas of the body, including arms, abdomen, thighs, knees, and neck.
